It carries a 125 A thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit that provides L (overload, thermal) and I (short-circuit, magnetic) protection across three protected poles (3D). The NSX160N frame gives it a 90 kA Icu breaking capacity at 220/240 V AC, 50 kA at 380/415 V, and 35 kA at 525 V — numbers that matter for fault-clearing coordination downstream of a transformer or upstream of a distribution panel.
The N breaking capacity code (50 kA at 415 V AC) is the middle tier in the NSX range — above the F (25 kA) and below the S (70 kA) and H (100 kA) frames.
Mounts flat on a backplate (DIN-rail adapter available separately), in horizontal or vertical orientation. IP40 front face keeps tools and fingers out; IK07 impact resistance handles panel-door knocks.
Durability and thermal budget
Rated for 40,000 mechanical cycles and 40,000 electrical cycles at 440 V In (20,000 at full load, 40,000 at half load). The TM-D trip unit is field-replaceable but the thermal-magnetic element is fixed-caliber at 125 A; no interchangeable rating plugs on this variant.
