The C16N6TM080 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX160N molded-case circuit breaker in the 4-pole configuration, rated 80 A at 40 °C with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. The TM-D provides L (thermal) overload protection and I (magnetic) short-circuit protection in one package — no electronic adjustments, just a reliable bimetal and solenoid that has been the workhorse of distribution panels for decades. At 690 V AC the Icu drops to 10 kA, so watch the system voltage when you spec this into a 600 V class panel.
The Icu ratings span the common industrial voltages: 90 kA at 240 V AC, 50 kA at 415 V, 36 kA at 500 V, 35 kA at 525 V, and 10 kA at 690 V. For UL 60947-4-1 applications, the same frame carries 85 kA at 240 V and 50 kA at 480 V. The 80 A trip rating at 40 °C means you need to derate if the ambient in the enclosure runs hotter — standard practice for any MCCB in a sealed panel.
Connection pitch is 35 mm, and the neutral sits on the left in the 4P configuration. IK07 impact resistance handles the occasional dropped screwdriver.
Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles; electrical durability depends on the load — 40,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 20,000 at full rated current, and 7,500 cycles at 690 V at full current. The toggle control is manual — no motor operator or shunt trip included in this base variant.
