It lives in the ComPacT NSX family, the workhorse distribution and panelboard line that replaced the older Compact NS series. IK07 impact resistance handles the odd dropped tool during commissioning.
Breaking capacity — what the N rating buys you
The N code delivers 50 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC and 440 V AC, 90 kA at 220/240 V, and 36 kA at 500 V. The UL 60947-4-1 ratings mirror the IEC ones: 85 kA at 240 V, 50 kA at 480 V, 10 kA at 600 V. The TM-D trip gives L (thermal overload) and I (magnetic short-circuit) protection in one package, no electronic adjustment.
Electrical endurance: 40,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 20,000 at full 160 A. At 690 V it halves again — 15,000 cycles at half load, 7,500 at full. Mechanical durability is 40,000 cycles. That's typical for a molded-case frame in this class — fine for daily switching in a distribution board, not for a motor-starting contactor duty cycle.
