The TM-D provides L (thermal) overload protection and I (magnetic) short-circuit protection — a fixed-trip curve suited for distribution feeders where coordination with downstream breakers is set by the magnetic pickup. The 4-pole version (4P) with neutral on the left and no earth-leakage module (without Vigi) is a straight distribution breaker; if you need ground-fault protection, you add an external Vigi module or swap to a Micrologic electronic trip. Breaking capacity is the headline: 85 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 36 kA Icu at 415 V AC, and 35 kA at 480 V AC (UL 60947-4-1). The F breaking-capacity code (36 kA at 415 V) means this breaker clears faults up to 36 kA symmetrical without welding or rupturing — sufficient for most industrial distribution boards with a transformer of 1–2 MVA. The toggle handle gives positive indication of contact position. Mounts on a backplate (not DIN rail) — allow 140 mm width, 161 mm height, 86 mm depth for enclosure sizing.
Integration notes
Front connections top and bottom simplify busbar or cable routing in a panel. Five accessory slots allow adding auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, or undervoltage releases without removing the breaker. IP40 front face, IK07 impact resistance — suitable for a lockable distribution board but not washdown environments. Operating altitude 0–2000 m without derating; above 2000 m up to 5000 m requires derating per the manufacturer's table. Electrical durability: 20,000 cycles at 440 V In/2, 10,000 cycles at 440 V In — adequate for a distribution breaker that sees infrequent switching; not rated for motor-starting duty (utilisation category A, not AC-3).
