It carries a 125 A thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit, rated at 40 °C ambient, protecting against overload (L) and short-circuit (I) per EN/IEC 60947-2. Its headline breaking capacity is 70 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC 50/60 Hz, 65 kA at 440 V, and 50 kA at 500 V. At 480 V AC it carries a 65 kA Icu rating per UL 60947-4-1. This makes it suitable for high-fault distribution panels where fault currents exceed standard 25–36 kA breaker limits.
The TM-D trip unit is fixed thermal-magnetic — no interchangeable electronic trip modules — so the overload and short-circuit thresholds are factory-set and not field-adjustable. In a distribution panel this gives selectivity headroom downstream; a 25 kA branch breaker will coordinate without exceeding the upstream device's withstand. Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability at rated current (440 V In) is 10,000 cycles.
Deployment context
The 105 mm width and 161 mm height fit standard distribution panel cutouts. IP40 front face protection suits indoor panel installation; the IK07 impact rating withstands incidental tool strikes during commissioning.
