The Schneider Electric C25V4TM160 is a ComPacT NSX circuit breaker with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit rated 160 A at 40 °C. Four poles, 85 kA Icu at 500 V AC — that's the short-circuit capacity that determines if this breaker clears a fault without welding or rupturing. It's built to EN/IEC 60947-2, the standard for low-voltage switchgear in industrial distribution.
Breaking capacity and trip unit
At 690 V AC it still holds 75 kA — that's the HB1 breaking capacity code. The TM-D trip unit provides thermal overload (L) and magnetic short-circuit (I) protection; no earth-leakage module built in.
Mounts on a backplate — horizontal or vertical, flat against the panel. IP40 enclosure protection keeps out tools and wires over 1 mm, but not water; this is for indoor panel use, not washdown.
