Its breaking capacity reaches 100 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC, 36 kA at 380–415 V, and 25 kA at 440 V, all per IEC 60947-2. This places it in the H (high) breaking capacity class, suitable for distribution panels where fault levels are substantial.

For higher ambient temperatures (up to 70 °C per the operating range), derating applies — the datasheet curve governs the actual limit. The TM-D trip unit provides thermal overload protection (inverse-time) and magnetic short-circuit protection (fixed instantaneous threshold), so it suits general distribution and feeder circuits where coordination with downstream devices is needed. At 440 V the rating drops to 25 kA, reflecting the higher arc energy. Earth-leakage protection is integrated, so no external RCCB or RCBO is needed for ground-fault detection on the outgoing circuit.
