The TeSys GV7RS25 is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker with a thermal-magnetic trip unit, designed for AC motor protection and isolation per IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60947-2. It uses a rocker lever for manual control and mounts vertically by clips or screws, fitting into a panel or on a flush rail kit.
Breaking capacity reaches 50 kA Icu at 500 V AC and 100 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, so this breaker can safely interrupt high fault currents without upstream damage — essential for high-SCCR panel designs. The AC-3 utilisation category (IEC 60947-4-1) means it's rated for switching squirrel-cage motors on and off, covering the motor power range from 9 kW at 400/415 V up to 18.5 kW at 660/690 V. Thermal-magnetic trip gives both overload (thermal) and short-circuit (magnetic) protection in one unit, and phase failure sensitivity (per IEC 60947-4-1 § 7-2-1-5-2) ensures the breaker trips if one phase drops out — a common cause of motor burnouts.
Mounts vertically on a panel or flush rail kit, secured by clips or screws. Connection pitch is 35 mm without spreaders, 45 mm with spreaders — plan your busbar or cable lug layout accordingly. Terminals accept bare cable from 1.5 to 95 mm², or cable lugs up to 10 mm outer diameter. Tightening torque for the M6 screw is 10 N·m.
