Motor circuit breaker for AC-3 duty
Its breaking capacity reaches 50 kA Icu at 500 V AC and 100 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, so it clears high-fault currents without cascading upstream — critical for motor branch circuits where SCCR headroom is tight. Motor power ratings land at 18.5 kW on 400–415 V AC and 22 kW on 660–690 V AC, both at 50/60 Hz.
Selectivity and coordination
Phase failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1 § 7-2-1-5-2 means the GV7RS40 trips on loss of one phase — a common cause of single-phasing motor burnout. Electrical durability is rated at 30,000 cycles at AC-3 rated current and 50,000 cycles at half-rated current, so it holds up under frequent motor starts — a conveyor or pump cycling several times per shift stays within the mechanical endurance of 50,000 cycles.
Mounts by screws or clips onto a panel or flush-mount rail kit. The 35 mm connection pitch without spreaders (45 mm with) matches standard DIN-rail terminal spacing. Vertical mounting only — the rocker lever control stays accessible with terminal shrouds fitted, which bring the IP rating to IP40. Tightening torque for the M6 screw terminals is 10 N·m; bare cable connectors accept 1.5 to 95 mm². Power dissipation per pole is 5 W, so the total 15 W heat load needs to be considered in enclosure thermal calculations.
