The Schneider Electric TeSys K LC2K16017E72 is a 3-pole reversing contactor rated for motor control in AC-3 and AC-4 utilisation categories. The 48 V AC coil is common in control circuits that run on transformer-isolated low-voltage supplies — typical in panel layouts where the control voltage is stepped down from the line side. It ships preassembled with the reversing power busbar, so the mechanical interlock and bus connections are already in place. That saves panel-build time compared to assembling two contactors and an interlock bracket separately. The IP20 finger-safe enclosure meets VDE 0106, which is the standard for protected installation inside an enclosure.
The body measures 90 mm wide by 58 mm high by 57 mm deep. That footprint is compact enough for a standard 600 mm deep enclosure with room left for wiring ducts and auxiliary blocks. Mounting is DIN-rail compatible — snap it onto the rail, torque the power and coil terminals, and the reversing busbar is already dressed. Operating altitude is 2000 m without derating, so it works at most industrial sites without a current reduction.
