The Schneider Electric TeSys K LC2K16017P72 is a 3-pole reversing contactor rated AC-3 at 16 A up to 440 V, with a 230 V AC coil and one NC auxiliary contact. It ships preassembled with the reversing power busbar, so you skip the bus-bar wiring step on the panel build. Rated for motor control in both AC-3 (start/run) and AC-4 (inching/plugging) duty, it handles the reversing cycle without external interlock wiring — the mechanical interlock is built into the preassembled pair.
The 16 A AC-3 rating at <=440 V is the motor-switching current — it covers a standard 7.5 kW motor at 400 V three-phase. AC-4 duty (frequent reversing) derates the thermal capacity; for high-cycle reversing applications, size up to the next frame if the motor exceeds 5.5 kW. IP20 finger-safe terminals (VDE 0106) mean it's meant for enclosure mounting — no touch-hazard protection on the busbar side, so it goes inside a panel or cabinet, not exposed on the line. Flame retardance meets UL 94 V1 and NF F 16-101/102, which is standard for rail and industrial panel use where fire-smoke-toxicity compliance is specified.
The 230 V AC coil is a common control voltage in European and Asian panels; if your panel uses 24 V DC, look at the DC-coil variants in the same TeSys K range.
Integration notes
The preassembled busbar saves about 10 minutes of wiring per unit on a panel line. Operating temperature range is -25 to 50 °C, storage -50 to 80 °C, with no derating up to 2000 m altitude. Shock and vibration ratings (10 Gn closed, 4 Gn vibration closed) are solid for industrial cabinet mounting on a machine frame.
