Rated for AC-1 duty (resistive loads) at 20 A, it handles heating elements, lighting banks, or transformer primaries where inrush is low. The 4-pole arrangement gives you three poles for the load and one for an auxiliary or neutral switching function. The 12 V DC coil draws 3 W holding power at 20 °C, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.15 Uc for pick-up and drop-out between 0.1 and 0.75 Uc below 50 °C — typical for PLC-driven or relay-logic control panels where a regulated 12 VDC supply is available.
Mounts on plate or DIN rail — the 90 mm width and 58 mm height fit a standard 4-module footprint, leaving room alongside other TeSys K devices for a clean layout. IP20 finger-safe terminals (VDE 0106) mean it can sit in an open control cabinet without additional shrouding. Screw-clamp terminals accept 1 or 2 conductors from 0.34 to 4 mm² (solid or flexible with/without ferrule). Tighten to 1.3 N·m using a No. 2 Philips or 6 mm flat-blade screwdriver — standard panel-tool kit, no special torque driver required. The preassembled reversing busbar (included) cuts installation time for a reversing starter by eliminating separate busbar runs and the risk of mis-wiring the phase reversal. Just land the line and load wires.
Electrical performance and durability
Rated breaking capacity: 110 A at 440 V, 80 A at 500 V, 70 A at 660–690 V per IEC 60947 — well above the 20 A continuous rating, so it clears faults without welding contacts. Making capacity is 144 A AC for the power circuit. Mechanical durability is 5 million cycles; electrical durability at full AC-1 load is 300,000 cycles up to 440 V. For lightly loaded or mechanical-only switching, the B10d safety figure reaches 20 million cycles per EN/ISO 13849-1 — relevant if you're using it in a safety-related control system. Heat dissipation is 3 W at the coil and 3 mΩ average impedance per pole (at 20 A, 50 Hz) — negligible thermal load in a ventilated enclosure, but worth noting if you're packing multiple contactors in a sealed box.
Compliant with IEC 60947, VDE 0660, BS 5424, and NF C 63-110. Flame retardance meets UL 94 V1 and NF F 16-101/102. Rated insulation voltage is 600 V (UL/CSA) and 690 V (IEC).
