Small-axis servo drive for single-phase lines
The LXM16MU01M2X is a Schneider Electric Easy Lexium 16 motion servo drive rated for 0.1 kW nominal power at 220 V with an 8 kHz switching frequency — sized for low-power positioning axes on packaging, labelling, or pick-and-place stations where the supply is single-phase 200-240 V. It delivers 1.6 A continuous output current and can supply 7.5 A for 3 seconds as a peak — enough to handle acceleration transients on a small motor without oversizing the drive frame. The line current draw is 1.3 A at 220 V single phase, which keeps the upstream branch circuit small — a 10 A MCB per drive is typical in a multi-axis cabinet.
Supply and installation constraints
Input voltage tolerance is 200-240 V single phase (-15 % / +10 %), with a supply frequency of 50/60 Hz ±5 % and a network frequency range of 47.5-63 Hz — it runs on standard mains without a transformer in most regions. Overvoltage category III means the drive is designed for fixed industrial panel installation where transient overvoltages from the mains are expected — no additional surge suppression needed at the drive input for a standard installation. Maximum leakage current is 3.5 mA — relevant for sizing the residual-current device (RCD) on the supply side; a type A or B RCD is recommended per IEC 60364. Above 1000 m altitude the output current must be derated; at 2000 m the drive still operates but with reduced continuous current — factor this into the axis torque budget for high-altitude installations.
