Single-phase servo drive for light-duty positioning
The LXM16MU02M2X is a 0.2 kW motion servo drive from Schneider Electric's Easy Lexium 16 series, designed for single-phase 200-240 V supply lines. It delivers 1.6 A continuous output current and can supply 7.5 A peak for 3 seconds, which covers acceleration and deceleration transients on small positioning axes. The drive draws 2.5 A line current at 220 V single phase — this is the figure to use when sizing the upstream branch circuit protection and the supply transformer for a multi-axis cabinet.
Power stage and switching frequency
Switching frequency is fixed at 8 kHz, which balances motor audible noise against thermal losses in the output stage. At this frequency the drive delivers its full 200 W continuous power at 220 V. The supply frequency tolerance is 50/60 Hz ±5 %, with the network frequency range extending from 47.5 to 63 Hz — the drive locks to the incoming line frequency within that window.
Supply and grounding requirements
Rated supply voltage is 220 V (-15 % / +10 %) single phase, with absolute limits of 200-240 V. Overvoltage category III means the drive is designed for fixed installation downstream of the building's main distribution board, not for outlet-plug connection. Maximum leakage current is 3.5 mA — this is within the threshold for standard 30 mA RCDs, but the drive should be on a dedicated circuit if multiple units share a common protective device.
The drive ships as a compact housing unit with Modbus communication onboard. No EMC filter is integrated — plan for an external filter if the installation must meet conducted emission limits for the single-phase supply.
