Power and torque for small servo axes
The SH30401P07A2100: Continuous power is 170 W, with nominal torque ranging from 0.176 N.m at single-phase supply up to 0.184 N.m at three-phase 400/480 V. Peak stall torque reaches 0.75 N.m at 480 V three phase — this is the short-term overload figure for acceleration or deceleration, not the continuous rating. The continuous stall torque is 0.21 N.m across the 115...480 V range, with a continuous stall current of 1.12 A. The maximum current Irms is 4.5 A, matching the 3 s peak output current — the drive must be sized to supply this peak without tripping.
Speed range and encoder feedback
Nominal speed is 4000 rpm on single-phase 115/230 V and 9000 rpm on three-phase 400/480 V, with a maximum mechanical speed of 9000 rpm. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides 16 periods of speed feedback resolution — no battery backup needed for position retention after power loss, which simplifies commissioning on multi-axis machines. Back EMF constant is 13.6 V/krpm at 20 °C, and the torque constant is 0.19 N.m/A at 120 °C copper hot — these are the values the drive's current loop uses to estimate motor position and torque. Stator resistance is 17.2 Ohm and stator inductance is 14.6 mH, which sets the electrical time constant for the current regulator tuning.
Mechanical fit and environmental sealing
Motor body length is 73.4 mm with a 40 mm flange size — the international standard flange means it bolts directly to common gearboxes and machine frames without an adapter plate. The smooth shaft is 8 mm diameter by 25 mm length; the centring collar is 30 mm diameter with a 2.5 mm depth, and the four mounting holes are 4.5 mm diameter. IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing — this is the sealing standard for washdown or dusty environments. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit in any of four orientations, which helps in tight cabinets where straight cable clearance is limited. Cooling is by natural convection — no fan, so the motor relies on the machine structure for heat sinking.
