Torque and power across supply voltages
The SH31002P1BF3000: This servo motor delivers rated performance that depends on the input voltage. On three-phase 400 V supply, nominal output power is 1930 W with nominal torque of 4.6 Nm; at 480 V three-phase, power holds at 1930 W but torque drops to 4.4 Nm. On single-phase 230 V, nominal output is 1090 W with 5.2 Nm torque. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, while continuous stall torque is 5.8 Nm under the same supply conditions — the motor can handle short-duration overloads roughly 3× the continuous rating.
Encoder, brake, and feedback loop integration
The absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder provides position feedback over a single cable pair, eliminating separate feedback wiring and reducing cable drag-chain complexity. This is a digital serial protocol — the drive controller must support Hiperface DSL to interpret the position data. Holding brake is integrated, rated at 9 Nm holding torque with a pull-in power of 12 W. The brake engages when power is removed, making this motor suitable for vertical-axis applications where the load must be held at standstill without servo current.
Mounting, shaft, and environmental fit
Motor flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with an international standard flange pattern — centring collar diameter 95 mm, depth 3.5 mm, four mounting holes on a 9.0 mm diameter. The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a parallel key (key width 6 mm). The shaft bushing without seal ring drops to IP54, so an external shaft seal should be considered if coolant spray directly hits the shaft exit. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air required, but the 1930 W continuous rating assumes free airflow around the motor frame. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 2660 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 1840 N at 3000 rpm; maximum axial force is 300 N.
Electrical parameters for drive sizing
Stator resistance is 2.4 Ohm and inductance is 13.5 mH — these values define the motor's electrical time constant and influence the drive's current-loop tuning. Maximum continuous current Irms is 17.1 A; the torque constant is 1.21 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature.
Connector options and cable routing
Two electrical connection options are available: a rotatable right-angled connector or a quicklock straight connector. The rotatable version allows the cable exit to be oriented in 90° increments after installation — useful when the motor is mounted in a tight cabinet corner. Both connector types are single-cable solutions carrying power and feedback on the same hybrid cable when using Hiperface DSL.
