Speed-torque-power envelope by supply voltage
The SH31002P1BA3100 delivers a nominal speed of 2000 rpm on 230 V single-phase supply, 4000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 4800 rpm on 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque at 230 V single-phase is 5.2 Nm; at 400 V three-phase it is 4.6 Nm; at 480 V three-phase it is 4.4 Nm. Continuous power reaches 1930 W on both 400 V and 480 V three-phase supplies, while 230 V single-phase yields 1090 W. Peak stall torque is 18.3 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 5.8 Nm. The maximum mechanical speed is 6000 rpm, which defines the overspeed limit for the application — the motor should not be driven above this even under fault conditions.
Encoder, cooling, and environmental ratings
The torque constant is 1.21 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 20 °C. Cooling is by natural convection — no forced air or liquid cooling required, but this also means the motor's continuous torque and power ratings assume free airflow around the housing. The IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5 applies to both the motor body and the shaft bushing, making it suitable for washdown environments in food-and-bev or pharmaceutical lines where hose-down cleaning is routine. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 2660 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1840 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N. These limits govern the allowable belt tension or direct-coupling misalignment; exceeding them shortens bearing life.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a 95 mm centring collar. Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter on the flange. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and 6 mm key width. The centring collar depth is 3.5 mm. Electrical connection is via a straight quicklock connector — no separate junction box or terminal strip is needed. The overall length is 204.5 mm. For a panel OEM or machine builder, the flange dimensions and shaft keyway are the critical fit checks against the mating gearbox or pulley.
