EasyPact Solar MCCB — 400 A, electronic trip, solar-rated
The SOL80N3E400 is a 3-pole fixed-mount molded case circuit breaker from Schneider Electric's EasyPact Solar range, rated 400 A at 40 °C with a 50 kA breaking capacity at 800 V AC. It uses an electronic ETU trip unit configured for LSI protection — long-time (L), short-time (S), and instantaneous (I) — making it suitable for distribution and feeder protection in photovoltaic installations. The 800 V AC operational voltage (50/60 Hz) aligns with the higher system voltages common in utility-scale solar arrays, and the N performance level (50 kA at 800 V) provides adequate fault-clearing headroom for most PV combiner and inverter-side applications.
The electronic ETU offers adjustable LSI curves, so you can coordinate selectivity with downstream breakers — the thermal memory function prevents nuisance reclosing on hot conductors. The IP20 finger-safe front cover protects operators but the breaker itself is not sealed — mount inside a panel rated for the environment.
Fixed backplate mount with 40 mm connection pitch and screw terminals on both front-connect sides (upside and downside). The 180 × 250 × 105 mm (W × H × D) envelope fits standard panel layouts; horizontal or vertical orientation is permitted. The grey (RAL 7015) housing is the standard finish for this range — no colour option. The toggle control type provides manual on/off and trip-reset.
