EasyPact Solar MCCB for distribution and solar applications
The SOL80F3E500 is a 3-pole fixed-mount MCCB from the Schneider Electric EasyPact Solar series, rated 500 A at 40 °C with an electronic LSI trip unit (overload L, short-time S, instantaneous I). Its 36 kA breaking capacity at 800 V AC (performance level F) means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on 800 V distribution systems — essential for solar combiner boxes or industrial feeders where high available fault current is expected. The electronic trip unit includes thermal memory (yes), so it retains thermal history after a trip, preventing nuisance reclosing on a still-hot conductor.
Rated operational voltage is 800 V AC 50/60 Hz, with an insulation voltage of 1250 V AC. IP20 finger-safe terminals (screw type) protect against accidental contact but the breaker is not sealed against washdown — it belongs inside a cabinet, not exposed. Mechanical durability of 20,000 cycles and electrical durability of 2,500 cycles at rated current mean it is built for switching duty, not just backup protection — suitable for frequent load-break applications.
