The OD1-B015C05I14 is a 2D laser displacement sensor from the OD Mini series, built for non-contact profiling and position measurement on moving targets. It runs on a 12~24 VDC supply and outputs a 4-20 mA analog signal through a 4-pin M8 connector — a clean loop-powered signal that feeds directly into a PLC analog input card or a stand-alone display. The 10.0mm~20.0mm installation distance means the sensor head sits close to the target — typical for small-part inspection, gap measurement, or edge detection on a conveyor. The IP67 rating (dust-tight, protected against temporary immersion) lets it handle washdown environments in food-and-bev or automotive lines without an extra enclosure.
Mounting and wiring — what fits
Chassis-mount form factor — no DIN rail bracket. The sensor body bolts directly to a machine frame or bracket. The 4-pin M8 connector mates with a standard M8 cordset; if your existing panel wiring uses M12, a short adapter cable works. The 12~24 VDC supply is common across most control cabinets, so no special power rail is needed. Operating temperature range is -10°C~40°C. That covers most indoor production floors but not a freezer or a hot press line. If the ambient runs above 40°C, you will need to derate or move the sensor to a cooler spot.
