The OD2-N120W60U0 is a 2D laser displacement sensor from the OD Value series, giving you a 120 mm measurement range with ±60 mm offset from the reference distance. Output is NPN, so it sinks to ground on detection — check your PLC input card polarity before wiring. Installation distance is adjustable from 60.0 mm to 180.0 mm. The sensor runs on 12 to 24 VDC.
Signal integrity and environment
IP67 rating — dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. That covers washdown zones and dusty conveyor lines, but keep the connector sealed; moisture in the M12 or similar round connector is where failures start. Operating temperature is -10°C to 40°C. If your line runs hot (near ovens or dryers), derate or shield the sensor housing from radiant heat. The laser diode itself is sensitive to ambient above 40°C.
