The OD2-P85W20A2 is a 2D laser displacement sensor from the OD Value series, delivering a measurement range of 85mm ±20mm with a PNP discrete output. It operates on a 12 ~ 24VDC supply and is housed for chassis-mount installation. The 65.0mm ~ 105.0mm installation distance means the sensor head must be positioned within that window from the target surface — get it closer or farther and the measurement won't lock. That's the working standoff, not the detection range. IP67 rating means the housing and cable entry are dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion — suitable for washdown zones on packaging or assembly lines where hose-down cleaning is routine.
Integration notes
Termination is via cable leads — no connector, so plan for a gland or strain relief at the panel entry. The cable leads simplify direct wiring to a PLC input or terminal block but mean the sensor is permanently tethered; replacement requires unwiring, not unplugging. Operating temperature range of -10°C to 40°C limits deployment to conditioned indoor environments or mild outdoor cabinets. Not rated for freezer or high-heat zones without thermal management.
