Through-beam photoelectric sensor, 20 m range
The Sick VS/VE18-4P3240 is a through-beam photoelectric sensor in a barrel-style housing, rated for a detection range of 0 to 20 m. That 20 m span means the emitter and receiver can be placed across a wide conveyor or through a machine cell, and the through-beam principle gives it the highest immunity to dust, mist, and target-surface variation of any photoelectric sensing method. The emitter and receiver are separate units; alignment is critical at this range, and the barrel form factor simplifies bracket mounting on extruded framing.
