Sensor at a glance
The SICK WL100-2P4429 is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor from the W100-2 series, delivering a 3 m sensing range with a visible red LED light source. Its PNP output switches at 500 µs, making it suitable for object detection on fast-moving conveyor lines or packaging machinery where cycle times are tight. Rated IP67, the housing withstands washdown environments and dusty factory floors — common on food-and-bev or automotive assembly lines where hose-down cleaning is routine.
The 11 mm wide, 31 mm tall, 20 mm deep housing fits into tight panel layouts and mounts via through-hole or bracket. The M8 male connector simplifies field wiring — no cable gland needed, just a standard M8 mating cordset. Operating voltage range of 10–30 VDC. Load current is 100 mA.
Switch-selectable logic
Light-ON / Dark-ON switching is selectable on the sensor, so the same part adapts to either presence-detection or gap-detection logic without changing the wiring or adding a NOT gate in the PLC program.
