The SICK WL12G-3B2531 is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor from the W12G series, designed to detect objects at distances up to 4 m using a visible red LED light source. It outputs both NPN and PNP signals, configurable as light-ON or dark-ON, making it flexible for integration into most PLC or relay logic inputs.
The 4 m sensing range covers typical conveyor, pallet, and packaging line gaps. The 330 µs response time keeps up with fast-moving parts on a high-speed line. Rated IP66, IP67, and IP69K, the housing and optics survive high-pressure, high-temperature washdown — essential for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines where hot caustic CIP cycles are routine.
