Defining the motor
The 1FK2104-4AK00-0SB0 is a SIMOTICS S-1FK2 HD synchronous servo from the 1FK2 family, built to pair with the SINAMICS S120 drive line over a DRIVE-CLiQ M17 interface. Stator stack and resolver/encoder are pre-commissioned for the S120 auto-configuration — the motor ID plugs in over DRIVE-CLiQ so the drive recognises windings, encoder resolution and thermal model without manual entry. Continuous stall torque M0 is 1.27 Nm, with a rated power PN of 0.6 kW at nN = 6000 rpm on a 380–480 V supply and PN = 0.4 kW at nN = 3000 rpm on a 200–240 V supply. That two-tier rating is the HD (High Dynamic) headroom: the lower-voltage curve is what most 230 V machine builders actually run, while the 400 V curve gives extra speed headroom when the cabinet is wired for 480 V.
Encoder, shaft and IP64 housing
Feedback is the absolute encoder single-turn AS22DQC at 22-bit resolution, which gives 4,194,304 steps per revolution — fine enough for positioning spindles and indexing tables without a gearbox stage. The cylindrical shaft is D19 x 40 mm, the conventional 1FK2 shaft geometry for this frame. Degree of protection is IP64 with an M17 power connector and an M17 DRIVE-CLiQ plug, so the motor is dust-tight and resists splashing water from any direction. IP64 is the right call for a cabinet-mounted machine tool or packaging axis — it is not a washdown rating, and the cable glands and mating connectors need to land in a way that keeps splash off the connector face.
Production status and BOM handling
RoHS compliance has been in force since 01-07-06 and the part is tracked under REACH Art. 33 candidate-list disclosure obligations, so the EU declaration pack covers substance-restriction and SVHC reporting. Export-control markings are AL:N / ECCN:N_CNDU — no licence required for the standard commercial destination.
