Where this motor slots into a SINAMICS S120 line
The 1FK2204-6AF10-1SB0 is a SIMOTICS S-1FK2 CT synchronous servo with holding brake, sized for SINAMICS S120 drive commissioning through the DRIVE-CLiQ plug M17 on the motor housing. Its continuous rating lands at M0 = 3.2 Nm with PN = 1 kW at nN = 3000 rpm on a 380-480 V bus, and PN = 0.5 kW at nN = 1500 rpm on a 200-240 V bus — so the same motor frame covers both the 230 V class and the 400 V class without rewinding, only the line voltage changes. The encoder is an absolute single-turn 22-bit (AS22DQC) reading through DRIVE-CLiQ, which auto-loads the motor electronic nameplate into the SINAMICS S120 controller on first plug-in — no manual parameter typing at commissioning, but the slot still has to be configured to the correct motor code in the topology.
Mechanical fit, brake, and connector side
The shaft is D19 x 40 mm with feather key — that key defines the coupling alignment tolerance during mounting, and the holding brake is sized for the 3.2 Nm frame, not a larger spare. Power connector size M17 and the DRIVE-CLiQ M17 plug are both on the motor face, so the cabinet-side cable set is fixed-orientation and the bend radius has to clear the connector collar without strain on the sealing. Degree of protection IP64 — sealed against splash and dust ingress, suitable for typical machine-base mounting; not rated for washdown duty where IP65 or higher is normally specified.
Production status and the compliance file you can expect
RoHS compliance has been in force since 01-07-06, and REACH Art. 33 information is published on the manufacturer record — the declaration package you would expect at goods-in covers both, no extra paperwork has to be chased down for EU shipment. Export Control Regulations show AL: N / ECCN: N_CNDU — no licence required for routine export, which keeps the customs lane straightforward on a standard RFQ.
Commercial classification and how it ships
Group Code R220 and Product Group 9021 are the Siemens commercial classification markers used internally for ordering and pricing; the product class is C — built to order, not re-usable or returnable against credit, so lead time is firm once the PO is placed. It ships as one piece per Quantity Unit in a 452 x 250 x 267 mm pack, which matters more for the dock and inbound handling plan than for the panel build itself.
