Where this motor sits in the 1FL2 / S200 stack
Siemens lists the 1FL2102-4AF10-0HC0 as a SIMOTICS S-1FL2 low-inertia servo, part of the 1FL2 family built to pair with the SINAMICS S200 drive — the motor is the rotor end of a matched S200 axis, not a stand-alone drop-in for legacy 1FK2 or 1FT7 frames. Production status on file is current, so the BOM line is safe for new builds and for the cabinet spare drawer; long-term cover rests on the S200 platform continuing to ship rather than on a separate motor lifecycle.
Reading the nameplate ratings for sizing
The 400 V 3AC supply, 100 W rated power, 3000 rpm rated speed, and 0.32 Nm standstill/rated torque are the four numbers that actually decide fit — anything above 100 W continuous or below 3000 rpm base speed belongs on a different 1FL2 frame, and the S200 drive has to be the matching 400 V variant, not a 230 V unit. Shaft height 20 mm places it at the small-frame end of the 1FL2 range; the plain shaft with tolerance N and the AS17bit hybrid connector are both defined by the ordering code suffix, so a plain-shaft/N-tolerance motor will not accept a keyed or fitted-pin shaft coupling without rework. The integrated holding brake and IP54 protection class (without oil seal) suit dry, indoor panel-adjacent mounting — through-panel or wet-side deployment would need the IP65 variant instead, and the 1FL2102-4AF10-0HC0 is not that variant.
Compliance paperwork on file
RoHS compliance has been declared since 01-01-18, and REACH Art. 33 candidate-list information is supplied with the product — the standard EU substance-restriction paperwork is covered.
Spare-drawer and order mechanics
The motor is a built-to-order product (product class C) that cannot be returned against credit, so the prudent move is to specify the exact suffix string and confirm the brake variant and connector before cutting the purchase order — not after the unit lands on the receiving dock. Each unit ships as one piece in a 315.00 x 182.00 x 172.00 mm package, group code R220, product group X0DJ — useful to quote on the internal logistics sheet so receiving and the panel kit-up bench are not surprised by the carton size. For the MRO buyer keeping a critical spare in the cabinet against an S200 axis failure: place the order before the motor fails, not after — built-to-order lead time applies to spares as much as to new builds, and a six-week gap with a furnace or indexing table down is the wrong kind of lesson.
