Form factor and what the shaft actually sees
The Siemens 1FL2204-2AG00-0SC0 is a SIMOTICS S-1FL2 low-inertia servo in the 40 mm shaft-height frame, built as a Pn=0.75 kW / Nn=3000 rpm machine with matched stall and rated torque of M0=2.4 Nm / Mn=2.4 Nm. The 1FL2 family is the matched motor line for the SINAMICS S200 drive platform, so the electrical interface, encoder protocol, and tuning model are co-designed rather than adapted. Mechanical package: plain shaft with Tolerance N, no holding brake, IP54 protection without oil seal, and a hybrid connector carrying both power and the 21-bit absolute encoder signal in one shell. The supply is 200 V three-phase, which sets the bus rail the matching S200 expects at the motor terminals.
Sizing the load: inertia first, then the loop bandwidth
With matched M0 and Mn at 2.4 Nm and a 3000 rpm rated speed, the motor delivers constant torque across most of the working range — useful for short-stroke indexing and packaging axes where acceleration time dominates cycle budget. Match the load inertia to the rotor before chasing loop gain; the S-1FL2 is a low-inertia design, so an oversized gearbox or a heavy coupling changes the resonance picture before the autotuner even starts.
Compliance and what the shipping carton covers
The product is RoHS-compliant since 01-01-18, with REACH Art. 33 candidate-list disclosure applicable per the current SVHC list — these are the substance-restriction marks a customs or tender desk will look for. Export classification is AL: N / ECCN: N, so no special export licence gate on cross-border shipment of the bare motor. Packaging is one piece per shipper at 382 x 222 x 240 mm. The product is classed as make-to-order: it is manufactured per the configured order code and cannot be returned for credit against stock. That matters when sizing spares — order to the BOM, not to a buffer.
