The 17-bit absolute encoder (AS) provides single-turn position feedback without needing a homing cycle on power-up — critical for applications where the axis position must be known immediately after a power loss or emergency stop.
IP65 sealing and holding brake for production-floor duty
IP65 protection with an oil seal means the motor body withstands washdown sprays and cutting-fluid mist common in machine-tool and packaging lines — the seal at the shaft exit keeps coolant out of the bearing cavity. The integrated holding brake holds the vertical axis at standstill when power is removed, preventing the load from drifting during a power interruption or when the drive is disabled.
