Motor ratings and what they mean for the axis
The 1FL6061-1AC61-0AB1: Rated power is 0.75 kW at 2000 rpm nominal speed, with a continuous torque of 3.58 Nm — this is the thermal limit for sustained positioning or constant-speed duty cycles. The standstill torque M0 is 4 Nm, which covers the breakaway torque needed to start a load from rest before the holding brake releases. The incremental TTL encoder delivers 2500 pulses per revolution, giving a position resolution of 0.144° per count before the drive's interpolation. For a ballscrew-driven axis with a 10 mm lead, that works out to roughly 4 µm per count — enough for most pick-and-place and general motion applications without a secondary encoder.
IP65 and the sealing ring — washdown-ready integration
The sealing ring must be seated between the motor flange and the mating gearbox or machine face; a missing or pinched ring voids the IP rating at the interface. The holding brake is built in — it holds the load at standstill without power to the motor windings, which matters for vertical-axis applications where the load could drift when the drive is disabled. Brake release voltage and response time are set by the drive parameterisation; the SINAMICS V70 and V90 converters have a dedicated brake control output.
