The 20-bit absolute encoder (12-bit multi-turn) gives position feedback down to sub-arcminute resolution — enough for closed-loop positioning on a ball screw or belt drive without a separate encoder cable.
IP65 and shaft height 65 mm — integration constraints
IP65 with the sealing ring means the motor body withstands washdown and airborne dust — suitable for food processing, packaging, or machining centres where coolant mist is present. The 65 mm shaft height and feather key define the mechanical interface: the motor mounts to a standard NEMA or IEC flange pattern at that centre height, and the keyed shaft transmits torque without a coupling slipping on a smooth bore. No holding brake is fitted on this variant, so the load must be held by the drive's holding brake or an external mechanical brake when power is removed.
