What this SIRIUS wye-delta contactor assembly does
Rated 65 A in AC-3 duty at 400 V, it switches motor loads up to 30 kW at 400 V, 35 kW at 500 V, and 34 kW at 690 V — the AC-3 rating governs induction motor switching, so that 65 A figure is the one that decides fit for a given motor FLA. The control supply is AC (110 V at 50 Hz), and the main circuit connects via screw-type terminals — no special tooling needed for field wiring. Mounts by screw fixing to a vertical surface, and the housing can be rotated ±180° or tilted ±30° front-to-back, giving flexibility in tight enclosures.
Coordination and protection requirements
The insulation voltage is rated 690 V at pollution degree 3, and installation altitude is limited to 2000 m above sea level without derating. IP20 front protection means it's suitable for enclosed panels where operators won't contact live parts — standard for motor control centers.
