What this SIRIUS 3RA2 delivers in the panel
The 3RA2110-0AD15-1AP6 is a SIRIUS non-fused motor starter — a direct starter combining a contactor (3RT2015-1AP61) and a thermal bimetallic overload relay in one assembly, size S00. It's designed for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems rather than a traditional DIN rail, which changes how you lay out the power distribution in the enclosure. Rated at 690 V in AC-3 duty, it handles motor switching up to that voltage. The coil accepts 187–242 V at 50 Hz and 192–264 V at 60 Hz, pulling 40 W at 400 V — a standard control voltage range for European panels.
Dimensions and mounting on the busbar
Width is 45 mm on the busbar — that's one standard 45 mm module. Depth comes in at 155.1 mm, height 200 mm. Mounting position must be vertical; clearance above the unit is 20 mm, below 10 mm, and 9 mm at the sides. No space needed forward or backward. It's supplied with a busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10) and a link module (3RA1921-1DA00), plus a circuit-breaker (3RV2011-0AA10) for short-circuit protection — the magnetic trip handles the fault current. AWG equivalents are 2× (20–16) and 2× (18–14). The contactor terminals are screw-type, so torque them to the spec on the contactor label.
Lifecycle and sourcing — current production
The supplied contactor (3RT2015-1AP61) and circuit-breaker (3RV2011-0AA10) are also current-production SIRIUS components, so replacement spares are straightforward to source.
Environmental limits and pollution degree
Pollution degree 3 means it's rated for industrial environments where conductive pollution can occur — no special coating needed for most panel conditions. The product extension auxiliary switch is available (Yes), so you can add feedback contacts for PLC status monitoring without a separate relay.
