What this SIRIUS direct starter handles
The 3RA2110-0CD15-1FB4: This is a Siemens SIRIUS direct-on-line starter, size S00, combining a contactor, thermal overload relay, and short-circuit protection in one unit that snaps onto a 60 mm busbar system. Rated 60 kW at 400 V, with a maximum AC-3 switching voltage of 690 V. The AC-3 current rating at 400 V is 0.25 A, so this starter is sized for smaller motor loads — fractional horsepower, fans, or small pumps — not high-current drives.
Panel fit and busbar mounting
Width is 45 mm, depth 155 mm, height 203 mm — this is a compact footprint for a combined starter, but the 155 mm depth means it won't fit a shallow 120 mm enclosure without a clearance issue at the back panel. Mounts vertically and fastens by snapping onto a 60 mm busbar system — no DIN rail required, but the busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10) is supplied in the box. Clearance around the unit: 50 mm upward, 20 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 20 mm at the sides, 0 mm backward. Main circuit connections are screw-type terminals, so you'll need a screwdriver for termination — no spring-cage here.
What's inside the box
The starter ships as a pre-assembled unit containing the contactor (3RT2015-1FB41), the link module (3RA1921-1DA00), and the busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10). The overload release is thermal bimetallic; the short-circuit trip is magnetic. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C with temperature compensation active across the same band — no derating needed for ambient up to 60 °C. Rated control supply voltage is 24 V DC, so it integrates cleanly into a 24 V control circuit without an extra transformer.
