What this starter carries — ratings and supplied components
The 3RA2110-1HD16-1BB4: The AC-3 rating at 690 V maximum means it handles the make/break of squirrel-cage motors under running conditions, not just resistive loads. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2016-1BB41, the link module is 3RA1921-1DA00, and the circuit-breaker is a 3RV2011-1HA10. The busbar adapter 8US1251-5DS10 is also included — this is a pre-matched assembly, not a loose collection of parts. The overload release is thermal bimetallic with a magnetic short-circuit trip, Class 10 trip curve.
Mounting on 60 mm busbars — the clearance envelope
This starter snaps onto 60 mm busbar systems — the fastening method is designed for that, not DIN rail. The mounting position is vertical only. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 20 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards. If you're swapping one into a tight panel, those clearances are non-negotiable for heat dissipation and arc flash containment. Dimensions are 155 mm deep, 45 mm wide, 200 mm tall. The 45 mm width is the standard S00 feeder width — fits the same footprint as the 3RV2 breaker and 3RT2 contactor it replaces.
Temperature limits and operating environment
Operation range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. The 60 °C ceiling is typical for enclosed starters in non-conditioned plant areas — if the panel ambient exceeds that, you need to derate or move to a larger frame. Operating frequency is 50/60 Hz — no DC rating here. The main circuit connections use screw-type terminals, which is the standard for North American and European panel builds.
