S00 frame, CLASS 10 trip — what it means for the motor branch
The 3RA2115-0BD15-1BB4: Rated for AC-3 switching duty up to 690 V, so it handles the inductive break of motor starting current across common industrial voltage levels. The 24 V DC coil draws 4 W holding power — sized for standard control transformers in a 24 VDC control loop; the low holding power keeps the cabinet thermal load down.
Snap-on busbar mounting, 45 mm wide
Fastens by snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems — no DIN rail required, which saves rail space and speeds assembly in panel builds where the busbar is already the structural backbone. 45 mm width per feeder; vertical mounting position only. Clearance above the unit is 20 mm, below is 10 mm, and 9 mm at the side — enough for airflow and cable entry without crowding adjacent devices. The supplied busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10) integrates the starter into the 60 mm system; the link module (3RA1921-1DA00) connects the contactor and overload mechanically and electrically.
Supplied contactor and circuit-breaker — one order code, three devices
This order code ships as a complete motor starter assembly: the contactor is a 3RT2015-1BB41, the overload relay is integrated thermally, and the short-circuit protection comes from a 3RV2011-0BA15 circuit-breaker. The circuit-breaker provides magnetic short-circuit trip plus thermal overload backup — coordinated with the contactor so the breaker clears a fault before the contactor welds. AWG equivalents are 2× 20–16 down to 12 for the contactor side.
