Panel fit and mounting constraints
The 3RA2115-0CE15-1FB4 is a SIRIUS size S00 direct-on-line starter that combines a contactor, thermal overload relay, and circuit breaker in a single assembly — one part number, one DIN-rail footprint, one wiring pass. The body is 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, and 198 mm tall — the height is the dimension that drives enclosure depth clearance. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above, 20 mm forward, 20 mm at the sides, 10 mm below, and 0 mm behind the rail. These are the minimum air gaps for heat dissipation and arc flash — pack them tighter and the thermal overload trips early on a warm day.
What the Class 10 trip and 60 W rating mean for motor protection
Rated power is 60 W at 400 V, 50/60 Hz in AC-3 duty (starting squirrel-cage motors). That is the continuous motor rating the starter can handle — not the contactor's make/break current, but the thermal capacity of the overload element and the contactor's AC-3 switching life. The overload release is thermal bimetallic (ambient-compensated -20 to +60 °C), and the short-circuit trip is magnetic — the magnetic element clears a bolted fault fast, the bimetal tracks the motor's I²t heating curve.
Termination and wiring — what ships in the box
Main power circuit and auxiliary/control circuit both terminate on spring-loaded terminals — no screwdriver torque check, no loosening under vibration. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-2FB41, the link module is 3RA2911-2AA00, and the circuit breaker is a 3RV2011-0CA25. The product extension for an auxiliary switch is supported — you can add a side-mounted block without breaking the main circuit wiring.
