SIRIUS direct-on-line starter, size S00
The Siemens 3RA2115-0EA16-2BB4 is a SIRIUS direct (on-line) starter in size S00, combining a 3RT2016-1BB42 contactor, a 3RV2011-0EA15 circuit-breaker, and a thermal bimetallic overload relay into a single pre-assembled unit.
Mounting and panel fit — 45 mm width, DIN rail
Width is 45 mm, height 167 mm, depth 97 mm — it occupies a single 45 mm module on 35 mm DIN rail, with screw and snap-on fastening. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 20 mm at the side — plan these gaps in the enclosure to maintain airflow and wiring access. Mounting position is vertical only; the supplied link module 3RA1921-1DA00 connects the contactor and circuit-breaker mechanically and electrically.
Protection and trip coordination
The short-circuit trip is magnetic (instantaneous), the overload release is thermal (bimetallic) — together they provide Type 2 coordination per IEC 60947-4-1, meaning the starter survives a short-circuit without damage to the contactor. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C — the starter can sit in an unheated warehouse or be shipped in winter without issue.
The contactor and circuit-breaker are supplied as part of the assembly — no separate ordering of those components is needed for a drop-in replacement.
