Panel fit and mounting constraints for the 3RA2115-0FA15-1AP6
This SIRIUS non-fused motor starter snaps onto a DIN rail or can be screw-mounted with an additional push-in lug, giving the panel builder a choice of fastening method depending on the enclosure layout. The unit is 45 mm wide, 167.2 mm tall, and 97.1 mm deep, which fits a standard Size S00 footprint and leaves 20 mm clearance above, 10 mm below, and 9 mm at the side for heat dissipation and wiring access. Mounting position must be vertical per the specification, and the ambient operating range is -20 to +60 °C, with storage from -50 to +80 °C.
Motor protection and trip coordination
The starter is a direct-on-line design with a thermal bimetallic overload relay (Class 10) and a magnetic short-circuit release, which together provide coordinated motor protection in a single assembly. It is rated for AC-3 duty at up to 690 V, with a motor power rating of 120 W at 400 V, 180 W at 500 V, and 250 W at 690 V — the matching power depends on the line voltage at the installation. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-1AP61, and the supplied circuit breaker is a 3RV2011-0FA15, forming a fully coordinated starter combination that is factory-tested for selectivity. Pollution degree 3 and a rated surge voltage resistance of 6 kV mean the unit is suitable for industrial environments where transient overvoltages are common.
Coil voltage selection and wiring
The control coil is designed for 50/60 Hz operation, accepting 187–242 V at 50 Hz and 192–264 V at 60 Hz — confirm the supply frequency matches the control transformer tap before energising. The supplied link module (3RA1921-1DA00) interconnects the contactor and circuit breaker, reducing wiring time and eliminating point-to-point errors on the line side.
The auxiliary switch extension option (Product Extension Auxiliary Switch: Yes) means the starter can be kitted with add-on contact blocks for status feedback without a separate wiring harness.
