Motor power and trip coordination — Class 10 at 400 V
The 3RA2115-1CE15-1FB4: The 690 V maximum AC-3 rating gives headroom for 480 V or 575 V line supplies, but the power rating scales with voltage; at 400 V the 750 W figure is the one to size against. This protects standard squirrel-cage motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration profiles. The thermal bimetallic overload release tracks motor heating; the magnetic short-circuit trip handles fault clearing.
Supplied as a pre-assembled unit — what's in the box
This is a factory-assembled direct-on-line starter combining a contactor, overload relay, and circuit breaker in one package. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-2FB41, the link module is 3RA2911-2AA00, and the circuit breaker is a 3RV2011-1CA25. All three are matched for coordination — no separate sizing needed. Size S00 frame — the same footprint as the individual SIRIUS components. The auxiliary switch extension is supported (product extension auxiliary switch: Yes), so you can add a spare contact for status feedback without re-wiring the main circuit.
Mounting and wiring — DIN rail with spring terminals
Mounting position is vertical. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 20 mm at the side, 10 mm downwards — plan the enclosure layout accordingly for airflow and tool access. Both main current circuit and auxiliary/control circuit use spring-loaded terminals — no screw tightening needed. This speeds wiring and resists loosening under vibration. The 45 mm width (3.5 modules on a DIN rail) fits standard panel cutouts.
Environmental limits — operating and storage
Operates from -20 °C to +60 °C with 10–95 % relative humidity. Storage and transport range is -50 °C to +80 °C — wide enough for unheated warehouses or container shipping. Temperature compensation is active across the full operating range, so the overload trip curve stays accurate.
