What ships in the carton — complete kit check
The 3RA2115-1EH15-1FB4: This is a factory-assembled direct (on-line) starter, size S00, built around the 3RT2015-2FB41 contactor. The kit includes the supplied link module 3RA2911-2AA00, the circuit-breaker 3RV2011-1EA25, and the busbar adapter 8US1251-5DT11 — everything needed to snap onto a 60 mm busbar system and wire the motor branch. The overload release is thermal bimetallic (CLASS 10 trip class), and the short-circuit trip is magnetic — no separate overload relay to order. Auxiliary switch extension is supported (product extension auxiliary switch: Yes).
The control circuit is 24 V DC (rated value 24... 24 V), which matches standard PLC output voltages and keeps the control wiring at SELV levels. Spring-loaded terminals on both the main and auxiliary/control circuits — no screw torque to verify, just strip and push.
Mounting and clearance — busbar snap-on with cooling margins
Fastening method is for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems — no DIN rail required. Mounting position is vertical. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 260 mm high, 155 mm deep — fits a standard S00 footprint. Clearance requirements for heat dissipation: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 20 mm at the side, 10 mm downwards, 0 mm backwards. The 50 mm upward gap is the critical one — the thermal bimetallic overload needs that air path to track motor current correctly.
Operating environment — temperature and humidity envelope
Rated for operation from -20 °C to +60 °C with relative humidity 10 to 95 %. Storage and transport range is -50 °C to +80 °C. The temperature compensation is active across the full operating range — the bimetallic strip adjusts for ambient changes so the trip point stays accurate.
