SIRIUS non-fused direct starter — what lands in the panel
The 3RA2115-1HA16-1AP6 is a SIRIUS non-fused direct starter, size S00, combining a contactor (3RT2016-1AP61), a link module (3RA1921-1DA00), and a circuit-breaker in a single assembly. It ships as a factory-matched unit — no separate coordination work on site. Rated 3 hp at 400 V (3 000 W) and 5 hp at 460/480 V, with a maximum AC-3 switching voltage of 690 V.
Mounting and panel fit — DIN rail or screw
Mounting position is vertical only. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 167.2 mm high, 97.1 mm deep — the S00 footprint fits a standard 45 mm slot on the rail. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, zero forwards and backwards. These are the minimum air gaps needed around the enclosure for cable entry and heat dissipation — factor them into the panel layout before the gland plate is drilled.
Wiring and environmental limits
This covers the typical 1.5 mm² or 2.5 mm² motor cables for a 3 hp load at 400 V. Operates from -20 to +60 °C ambient, stores from -50 to +80 °C. Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation) — suitable for control panels in industrial environments without climate control.
