S00 direct starter — what's in the box
The 3RA2115-1JD16-1BB4 is a SIRIUS non-fused motor starter, size S00, configured as a direct starter — meaning the contactor and overload relay ship as a single assembly, pre-wired and ready to snap onto a 60 mm busbar system. It includes the supplied contactor (3RT2016-1BB41), the link module (3RA1921-1DA00), and the busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10) — you get the three-piece set in one order code, no separate sourcing for the mating parts.
Motor ratings across the voltage range
At 400 V it's rated 4,000 W; at 500 V it's 5,500 W. The current ratings at 480 V and 600 V are 7.6 A and 9 A respectively — these are the numbers to use for wire sizing and upstream protection coordination.
Thermal overload — CLASS 10 bimetallic release
The 24 V coil (rated value) means this is a low-voltage DC/AC control version; confirm your control transformer output matches before wiring.
Panel fit and environmental limits
Mounting position is vertical only; the unit snaps onto 60 mm busbar systems via the supplied adapter. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, storage -50 to +80 °C, transport -55 to +80 °C. Pollution degree 3 means it's rated for industrial environments with conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation.
