S0 direct starter, 180 W at 400 V — what it means for the panel
This SIRIUS 3RA2120-0HD23-0AP6 is a non-fused direct starter, size S0, rated 180 W at 400 V and 370 W at 690 V. It snaps onto a 60 mm busbar system and mounts vertically. The envelope is 155 mm deep, 45 mm wide, and 260 mm tall — that 45 mm width is one standard 45 mm module on the busbar, so it fits in a single slot without wasting rail space.
What's inside the box — supplied subcomponents
The starter ships as a pre-assembled unit with a 3RT2023-1AP60 contactor, a 3RV2011-0HA10 circuit-breaker, a 3RA2921-1AA00 link module, and a 8US1251-5NT10 busbar adapter. That means you get the coordination already engineered between the breaker and contactor — no separate selectivity study needed for this feeder. AWG equivalent is 2× (16 to 12) or 2× (14 to 8). The overload release is thermal bimetallic; the short-circuit trip is magnetic — a standard combination for motor branch circuit protection per IEC 60947-4-1.
Clearance and temperature — fitting it in a crowded enclosure
Required clearances: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the sides, and 0 mm backwards. That backward zero means the back of the unit can sit flush against the panel backplate — useful when gland-plate depth is tight. Operating ambient is -20 to +60 °C, storage -50 to +80 °C, transport -55 to +80 °C. The 60 °C ceiling is typical for inside a steel enclosure with some solar gain; above that, you'd need to derate or force-ventilate.
