SIRIUS direct starter for 60 mm busbar systems
The 3RA2120-1HH24-0AP0 is a SIRIUS direct-on-line starter in size S0, designed to snap onto 60 mm busbar systems — no DIN rail adapter needed, it clips directly onto the busbar profile. Rated 3 kW at 400 V (8 A at 480 V), it handles 2 hp at 230 V and 5 hp at both 460/480 V and 575/600 V — covers common North American and IEC motor frames. The thermal bimetallic overload relay is set to Class 10 trip, meaning it protects standard squirrel-cage motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration.
What ships inside — contactor, link module, busbar adapter
This starter ships as a pre-assembled unit containing the 3RT2024-2AP00 contactor, the 3RA2921-2AA00 link module, and the 8US1251-5NT11 busbar adapter — one order code, one package, ready to snap onto the busbar. The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals (cage-clamp style), so no screw torque check needed on installation — strip, insert, done. Mounting position is vertical only; clearances required are 50 mm upward, 20 mm forward, 10 mm downward, and 20 mm at the side — plan the busbar layout accordingly.
Physical footprint and panel clearances
Dimensions are 260 mm high, 45 mm wide, and 165 mm deep — the narrow width (45 mm) lets you pack multiple starters side-by-side on the same busbar run. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C with no derating curve needed in that band; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C.
Current production — sourcing posture
RoHS compliance date is March 1, 2017 — the starter meets EU substance restrictions from that date forward.
