Motor duty and protection — 15 kW at 400 V, Class 10
The 3RA2120-4NE27-0BB4: Short-circuit protection is handled by the magnetic trip in the supplied circuit-breaker (3RV2021-4NA20), so the starter forms a coordinated motor control centre (MCC) bucket without additional external fusing.
Mounting and wiring — screw or snap-on DIN rail, spring terminals
The starter mounts vertically on a 35 mm standard DIN rail via the snap-on mechanism, or can be screw-mounted directly to a backplate — the 45 mm width fits standard S0 feeder spacing. Both the main current circuit and the auxiliary/control circuit use spring-loaded terminals — no screw torque to verify, just strip and push in for solid or ferruled stranded wire. Clearance distances: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 20 mm at the side, and 10 mm downwards — plan the enclosure depth and cable duct placement accordingly.
Supplied components and expansion
The starter ships as a pre-assembled unit containing a 3RT2027-2BB40 contactor, a 3RV2021-4NA20 circuit-breaker, and a 3RA2921-2AA00 link module — one order code, one BOM line. An auxiliary switch can be added via the product extension slot, allowing remote status feedback or interlocking without modifying the main power path.
