SIRIUS 3RA2 non-fused motor starter — size S0, direct start, 690 V rated
The Siemens 3RA2125-0GD23-0AK6 is a SIRIUS non-fused motor starter, size S0, configured as a direct starter. It ships with a 3RT2023-1AK60 contactor, a 3RV2011-0GA15 circuit-breaker, a 3RA2921-1AA00 link module, and an 8US1251-5NT10 busbar adapter — the BOM is self-contained for a single motor feeder. Rated voltage is 690 V, with a power rating of 180 W at 400 V and 250 W at 690 V. The overload release is thermal bimetallic, Class 10 trip class, and the short-circuit release is magnetic — this combination provides motor protection against both sustained overloads and bolted faults.
Mounting, orientation, and panel integration
Mounting is by snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems in a vertical orientation only. Clearance requirements: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards. The zero backward clearance means the unit sits flush against the back panel — no extra depth needed behind the DIN rail. The wide storage range suits unheated warehouses or container shipping.
Wire sizing and auxiliary contact provision
Main contact wire range: stranded 1 to 10 mm², or 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²). AWG equivalents are 2x (16 to 12) or 2x (14 to 8). The dual-conductor capability allows paralleling smaller wires for higher ampacity without changing the terminal.
