Direct starter with thermal overload — SIRIUS 3RA2
The Siemens 3RA2125-1CA23-0AK6 is a non-fused motor starter from the SIRIUS 3RA2 family, configured as a direct starter (Type of Assignment 2) for across-the-line starting of three-phase motors. It integrates a 3RT2023-1AK60 contactor and a 3RA2921-1AA00 link module, plus a thermal bimetallic overload relay with trip Class 10 — the standard protection for normal-starting squirrel-cage motors where the rotor accelerates within 10 seconds at locked-rotor current.
Class 10 trip curve and thermal overload protection
Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation) is the specified environmental class, typical for industrial control panels not in a climate-controlled clean room.
Mounting and panel integration — DIN rail or screw
The mounting position is vertical only — horizontal installation is not supported and would affect the thermal trip accuracy. Dimensions: 45 mm width, 97.1 mm depth, 193.1 mm height. Clearance requirements: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards — the back of the unit sits flush against the mounting surface.
Active production — sourcing and documentation
Supplied as a complete, factory-assembled unit with the contactor and link module pre-installed. The circuit-breaker size is S00; the load feeder size is S0.
