3 kW at 400 V — motor load ceiling
The 3RA2125-1HH24-0FB4: The AC-3 rating covers starting and stopping of squirrel-cage motors — the load that drives conveyors, pumps, and compressors in a typical panel. The maximum operating voltage is 690 V AC-3, so the same unit can serve a 480 V or 575 V line if the motor current stays within the starter's thermal capacity.
CLASS 10 trip and supplied components
The magnetic short-circuit trip handles the instantaneous fault clearing. The starter ships as a pre-assembled set: the 3RT2024-2FB40 contactor, the 3RV2021-1HA25 circuit-breaker (Size S0), the 3RA2921-2AA00 link module, and the 8US1251-5NT11 busbar adapter. This saves panel-build time — no separate ordering and matching of the three components.
60 mm busbar snap-on — no DIN rail needed
The fastening method is for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems, not a standard DIN rail. This is the key mounting constraint: the panel must have a 60 mm busbar grid, and the starter mounts vertically in that system. The physical envelope is 260 mm high by 45 mm wide by 165 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, 20 mm at the side, 10 mm downwards, and 0 mm backwards. The zero backward clearance means the back of the unit can sit flush against the panel backplate.
Spring-loaded terminals and environmental range
Both the main current circuit and the auxiliary/control circuit use spring-loaded terminals — no screw tightening, no torque check. The control circuit is rated 24 V DC, and the auxiliary switch extension is available as an option. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C with 10 to 95 % relative humidity. Storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. The unit includes temperature compensation across the operating range.
